This was a stellar article. As a public school special education Math teacher who is 6 years in, I am bored with our standard curriculums.

In NYC, at my school at least, there are grants that are aimed to helping us educators learn how to leverage AI in our classrooms. Our PD’s have been centered around how to use AI to help with our administrative tasks as teachers, but never have I ever thought to use AI to TUTOR students! This is wonderful!

Exceptional article not only the content but the writing. Well done Mackenzie.

I’m an avid AI user for work, pre chat-GPT, but I’m overthinking fining the right fit for my 6 and 9 year old. Any recommendations on apps or tools to start?

Has anyone in the forum used an AI tutor? It makes sense. I am writing from Australia where our kids are completely disengaged

Good. The traditional school has never been able to fix the fact that almost 20% of its pupils have great difficulty in literacy and numeracy. I faced this challenge in my work and achieved most encouraging, better: excellent measurable results after exhausting trial and error processes.

So what AI tutor do you recommend?

“Talking out of turn gets you detention, but silence is rewarded with a sticker.” This is still happening—and to some of our smartest kids who are bored being taught to the theoretical “middle.” I agree a 💯 that across the ability spectrum, our kids deserve better—and at a price that won’t cost parents their life savings. Great article!
