The coaching example really clarifies this. A good coach's first job is to see the individual kid, not just the position they play. That's the same skill parents need when making education decisions, and it's the one most schools make structurally impossible with 25+ kids per classroom. The question for parents is how to find that kind of attention, whether it's in a school, at home, or somewhere in between.
